Or maybe it was a head lock... I'm not sure , but whatever it was it was cute!
Never mind the cotton candy stain on his arm! ;-)

The weekend...

This weekend was great, I was ILL friday and Sat. morning but got better towards the evening, a few of us had a cookout at Grandma Dee's house, it was a blast, it was great to get together, eat and play games... We had a little trouble with the grill, thank God josh took over, I was slaughtering the hamburgers! ;-) Corn Hole is a Haymaker tradition ..... Trace is pretty good for a Pre-teen as he puts it! Here he is bracing himslef! ;-) he must have been talking ALOT of smack!

Trace thinks Beth is pretty, for a grown up! ;-) ahhhh.....

If there was any question of it the bag went in , Landon would know!

But not until AFTER he touched the elctric fence TWICE!!!! everyone ran and we were like, ah, he'll be ok! you can tell we all have lived on a farm Caraand lauren took numerous pictures of themselves, here are a few ... and when I say few, I mean a fraction of what was taken!

All in all the cookout was fun, I can't wait to do it again soon!

Sunday, I got baptized, and my Grandpa got an award for being a Deacon for 10 years, it's so sweet to think, that my Grandpa filled my baptismal ....tear, or at least it was until Trace told me that he had to kill a big spider that was in it! ....ruined moment! oh well!

Monday morning I called in because, Maggie threw up on my NEW mattress twice and the first time was cm. from my head! Gross, I know, how do you think I felt?

Tonight, Molly, Amy, and I went walking and then to get an ice cream, I took my camera so I couls take pictures of Brittany while she worked..... when I got home I went into her room to upload and this is what I found! It honestly look like Abercrombie threw up in her room...
So I wrote her a little love letter with the mustard, I found on the computer desk!
Needless to say, she cleaned it up when she got home! NASTY!!!!! maybe that's why she always shuts her door! ;-)

The Weekend!

Friday night we went to dinner with our cousins Amy , her hysband Larry, and their little boy Lucas, Tumble weed Maggie's favorite, Maggie and I got there a little before everyone else and when the waitor came to ask us our drink order Maggie said .. I want sweet tea and can we have some cheese with fire?;-)

Brittany, Maggie and I bought me a new mattress, box springs, and bed frame! Shew.. that was a sight let me tell you, Maggie was VERY eager to try out every mattress in the place! ;-)

She would say, I think you should get this one it's much jumpy and very com-fort-a-ble.
I told the sales guy that I was looking for a queen mattress, then Maggie said, do you have any Princess Mattresses?? ;-)

I found the one I wanted and the guys loaded it up, I got a good deal and even got a better mattress than I set out to. YAY!!!!

Heather and Cara came over to help with the set up!
There was approximately 3 failed attempts to set up the frame before Cara found instructions.... Where's a boy when you need one?Ahhh......about an hoour later... I have a bed! ;-) it's comfy too! After a restful night on my new mattress, I went to get a pedicure and manicure with Grandma for her b-day... it was AWESOME!!! Grandma had never had a pedicure, I think she'll be back, very soon! She loved it!

Molly came over to help celebrate and played the role of "Aunt Molly" the entire time she was there...

Cute Lauren Story

recently for Kindergarten graduation...Cara bought Lauren her own cordless phone for her room, well, every since then she calls me ALL the time, sometimes at 7 or 7:30 in the morning to see what I'm doing , other times at 10:45 at night to talk to Maggie , but the best ad cutest was yesterday.. I was having a horrible day at work, nothing seemed to go right, I looked at my phone and I had 9 missed calls and 4 VM's from Cara's home number .. immediately, I PANIC! I thought Landon's broke a leg or something... No!

Lauren and Gary stayed home from Day Care and Camp , their Meme came over to watch them.... and you guessed it telephone queen Lauren was calling me. I called her back and she said, Uh... I've been trying to get a hold of you!
I say... well, baby cakes, I'm at work
she says..... are you coming over
I say maybe after work
she says... I left you some voice snails..
I giggled and told her I loved her and hung up

Short story about getting my hair cut....
Amanda my little hair girl says are you sure you want to cut all the damaged hair... I say YES!!! I have never had damaged hair, cut it off...
so she cuts, we gossip, she cuts more, we gossip more
then she pulls out this pair of clippers, like you would cut a boy's hair with and turns them on
I say... whoa, whoa, whoa... How much hair you cutt'n off sister?
she proceeds to tell, me the shears are for shaving my neck, I said.... Do I have a hairy neck that needs to be shaved and she said.. Indeed you do! GREAT!!!! so not only do I have HORRIBLE hair , I have a hairy neck, well not anymore, she sahved it! ;-) Sigh... this hair is going to kill me!

Shrek & Green Hair!

So this weekend, I tried to be creative with my hair and well...., lets just say. it was BAD!!!! My hair turned green for real... GREEN, and what better time than right before we all go see Shrek at the drive in.. I swear I looked like Princess Fiona in gauchos!! Sigh.... oh well, I thought I 'll just cover it with a darker color.... WRONG, it turned kinda green too, so, today I went and got it all cut off, I mean it's short, shorter than I have had it in a LONG time! and it's still red, I have to wait a couple weeks beofre I can color it again, we'll see, I'm deep conditioning it now!

I hate myself! I'll never try to be cool agan!!!!Arghhhh!!!!

The good thing is... my hair grows like weeds and the cut is kinda cute! at least that's what I keep telling myself..

and NO there are no pictures, if you didn't get to see the green first hand.. then you will NEVER see it. And as for the short hair cut you will see it eventually, but hopeully it will not be red!Good thing I'm not overly girly if this would have happened to Brittany or Cara, they may.... I don't know transfered schools! HA!!!

My friend Beth "the blessing"

God has really blessed me with wonderful friends and family. I know that if I ever needed them they would be right there.

Today, I would like to tell you about my dear friends The Spencer's Beth and Josh....I've known Beth forever.....She's the best, I used to want to be just like her she had pretty fingernails and drove a white Geo Storm, which was WAY Cool!!!!!!!! ;-)

And always has been ! ;-) She looks much happier with Josh than she did with Junior! he he ;-)
she sings at church and is just all around a wonderful person and a great mom, not to mention photographer ;-) She really is an inspiration to me, she has really been there for me the last year or so, I can always count on her to pray for me or give me words of inspiration ...She's married to a great guy that I have known just as long or maybe longer... his mom Connie and my mom were good friends.

I know the picture quality is poor, but come on people it was 1984.. give me a break! ;-) Here is a picture of Connie, center, my mom, right, and Linda(cara's mom) left... Josh and I have never been close, but I have always considered him a good friend.. He is the type of guy that would stop and talk to you or say "hi" no matter what or who he was with. That was a big deal to me when I was in high school and even after high school, when I was out of church , going through my wild phase..... I ran into Josh at a baseball game he went out of his way to say HI and to see how I was doing. That meant a lot! Especially at that time.


When I heard that these two love birds were getting married, I thought, what a perfect couple!!!!!



Beth and her mom actually sang at my mom's funeral, so as you can imagine how dear these people are to me.

They have a blog , which got me started on this whole thing... and this is a story about how their Christian walk and their testimony blessed me and my life.


One Friday while I was at work, things were kinda slow and I was looking over Beth's blog, I found a post, that I had never seen before, I was amazed that I hadn't read EVERY one of her posts, I might be a little of a Blog STALKER!!!! sorry...;-) anyways, the post was about Josh telling Beth that he wished he had a pound cake with icing like his Nanny Geraldine used to make, about that time Beth heard a knock on her door... she went to answer it to find the little old lady that lived next door, josh had been cutting her side yard for her, she was holding a cake, she handed it to Beth and thanked them for being so gracious, when Beth brought it inside she noticed that it was a pound cake with icing!

~I know it gave me chills too... ;-) LOVE IT!!!!!!!

So I tell my friend and co-worker Andrea whose office was very close to mine all about the post . She is Catholic and I have been trying to get her to come to church with me .... she thought the story was awesome but asks me what God has ever done like that to prove himself to me..... I was stumped! I said, well, huh... let me get back to you on that, thank goodness, there was an issue that I needed to resolve and could not continue the conversation.

The next night, Cara and I were at dinner and I tell her the story, and say, "when she asked me when has he ever proven himself to me , I was stumped"... mind you, I am on Cara all the time to go to church and to get her kids involved in church, she is one of my biggest prayer requests.... Because I love her and want to see her in Heaven, anyway, she says to me..

"how can you say that?"
I looked at her very confused and said , say "what"?
She said, "Jessie ,your mom and sister were killed ( in the afternoon) 2 weeks after your mom switched you to P.M. Kindergarten, if she wouldn't have done that, you would have been there and then where would I be?"
"How do you explain that?"
"How do you explain that shortly before your mom died she explained to you what it meant to go to Heaven ?"
" When we told you that your mom was in Heaven you understood and knew that you would see her again one day."
" you were only 5, and that's not a normal conversation a mom has with her 5 year old", God had a hand in that."
Then she said " You are here, what more do you want him to prove?"
" you are the miracle"......
so as we cried and ate our grilled Mahi Mahi ;-) ....

I came to the conclusion, that Cara, and Beth and all my other Christian friends.. are my miracle. God didn't have to send someone to my door for me to know he's real, he sent me great friends. SO Beth, Josh, and Cara... you are my pound cakes! and I love you!

Suddenly..... I'm hungry !


I just had to throw this in because I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
